On February 17, 2022, according to Xinhua news agency, the national development and Reform Commission, the central network information office, the Ministry of industry and information technology and the National Energy Administration jointly issued a document agreeing to start the construction of National Computing hub nodes in Beijing Tianjin Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Dawan District, Chengdu Chongqing, Inner Mongolia, Guizhou, Gansu and Ningxia, and planned 10 national data center clusters such as Zhangjiakou cluster. So far, the overall layout design of the national integrated big data center system has been completed, and the "counting from the east to the west" project has been officially launched.

The implementation of the project of "counting from the east to the west" to promote the rational layout of data centers, optimize supply and demand, green intensification and interconnection has many meanings: first, it is conducive to improving the overall computing power level of the country. Through the layout and construction of the national integrated data center, expand the scale of computing facilities, improve the efficiency of computing power, and realize the large-scale and intensive development of computing power in the country. Second, it is conducive to promoting green development. Increasing the layout of the data center in the West will greatly increase the proportion of green energy use, absorb green energy in the West nearby, and continuously optimize the energy use efficiency of the data center through technological innovation, large for small, low-carbon development and other measures. Third, it is conducive to expanding effective investment. The data center has a long industrial chain, large investment scale and strong driving effect. Through the construction of computing hub and data center cluster, it will effectively drive the upstream and downstream investment of the industry. Fourth, it is conducive to promoting coordinated regional development. Through the layout of computing facilities from east to west, it will drive the effective transfer of relevant industries, promote the data circulation and value transmission between the East and the west, extend the development space in the East, promote the western development and form a new pattern.

On February 19, 2022, Tencent cloud, Alibaba cloud, Kwai, Huawei, etc. said that they had laid out or put into operation the data center in the node area of the "East digital West computing" computing hub. In terms of regional layout, InBev electric, as an important partner of data center enterprises, has made unremitting efforts to build a national computing network with you.

In response to the national "counting from the east to the west" project, Huawei cloud has laid out five data centers in China. Among them, Gui'an and Ulanqab are two major cloud data centers of Huawei cloud one south and one north, and three core data centers are arranged in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

Huawei Ulanqab cloud data center

Wulanchabu Huawei cloud computing center is located in Chahar economic and Technological Development Zone, Wulanchabu city. It is composed of host room building and auxiliary office building. The total investment of the project is 1.6 billion yuan, with a construction area of 24000 square meters and can accommodate 1500 cabinets. The data center is a data center that meets the international T3 + standard and will be an important part of Huawei's cloud cost center. As one of the key layout of Huawei cloud's two major data centers, South Guizhou and North Ukraine, Ulanqab data center adopts a number of energy-saving and consumption reduction technologies, with an average annual pue (power utilization efficiency) of no more than 1.2, which is far lower than the requirements of the three-year action plan for the development of new data centers (2021-2023) of the Ministry of industry and information technology, and was selected into the list of typical cases of 2021 national new data centers published by the Ministry of industry and information technology in 2021.

Huawei Gui'an data center

Gui'an Huawei data center is located next to Jinma Avenue in Gui'an new area. The total land area of the project is 1521 mu. The data center can accommodate more than 1 million servers. It is Huawei's largest data center in the world. As one of the two major data centers of Huawei cloud "Southern Guizhou and Northern Ukraine", it provides business support for Huawei cloud in 21 southern provinces. At the same time, as Huawei's internal data center serving the world, it will also undertake the important task of supporting Huawei's global business services.

Huawei Langfang data center

Huawei Langfang data center is a first-class strategic node invested and built by Huawei in the world, and Langfang cloud data center, as the core node of Huawei in North China, undertakes core businesses such as public cloud and consumer cloud. The total construction area of the project is 78823.72 square meters, including two data centers and two diesel generator platforms. The completion of the project will release Huawei's advantages in big data application technology and data resources and improve the comprehensive competitiveness of urban information management in North China.

Huawei Zhangye cloud data center

Huawei Zhangye cloud computing big data center is a key data and information industry project jointly constructed by Zhangye city relying on Huawei's industrial chain integration ability in cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, smart city and other fields. At present, the transition computer room of Huawei Zhangye cloud computing big data center has been completed, the installation and commissioning of the first batch of equipment have been completed, the data services of the first batch of 14 units have been migrated to the cloud, and all data services of all units and enterprises directly under the municipal government will be put into the cloud in April 2020.
